Applications will be accepted from applicants who register on this website. Applications must include the all the information requested and the application must be received online via this website by the closing deadline of 5pm on Friday 2nd September 2011. The Morgan Foundation reserves the right to extend this closing date for whatever reason they may choose. Any new closing date will be posted in the news section of the website and you will be notified by email if you have registered to receive updates.
Once an application has been submitted, no changes may be made. Applications will not be returned.
Applicants should complete the entry form providing all the information requested. It should enable the judging panel to get a clear picture of you and your business/enterprise or charity. Applications which do not complete all sections or provide the relevant financial information will be disregarded.
The competition is open to individuals and businesses located in Merseyside, Cheshire (west of the M6), North Wales, Shropshire and the Wolverhampton area. A map of this area can be found here. If you have a query as to whether you fit into this geographical area, please email us at contact@morganfoundation.co.uk. Applications from outside of this area will not be considered.
All materials and information submitted will be treated as confidential. We will not disclose any submitted material to third parties without the express permission of the entrants. This is with the exception of our sponsors and compulsory media publicity connected with the awards.
You will receive an email acknowledgement of receipt of your application. The Morgan Foundation does not take responsibility for any submission that is not received by us electronically, or which is not confirmed as received. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by 'phone and in writing after the first round judging panel which takes place on Friday 16th September. These applicants will be invited to make a presentation to the juding panel on 27th or 28th September. Candidates who do not make it to the shortlist will not be contacted. All finalists will be invited to the Morgan Foundation Entrepreneur Awards Gala Night on Thursday 10th November.
The decision of the judging panel is final and there can be no appeal. In the event of a draw, the Chairman of the judging panel will have the casting vote. These matters must be accepted as final in all respects concerning the competition, including the interpretation of the rules and conditions.
If the judges consider that entries in any category are not of a high enough standard, no money will be awarded.
Prize money awarded must be used strictly for business purposes only. Funds will be released against an undertaking of designated spend. We reserve the right not to release funds for expenditure deemed inappropriate by The Morgan Foundation. In the event that the funds are not spent as stated, The Morgan Foundation reserves the right to require the return of the funds.
Applicants and winners must make themselves available to Insider Media for interviews and other PR related activity as is deemed necessary by The Morgan Foundation.
