The Morgan Foundation Entrepreneur Awards
Encouraging entrepreneurs who are creating opportunities in the North West, North Wales, Shropshire and the Wolverhampton area.
The Morgan Foundation Entrepreneur Awards were established in 2007 and are designed to encourage entrepreneurship in the North West and North Wales - whether in new businesses, young entrepreneurs, social enterprises or charities.
In 2008 the Awards were extended to Wolverhampton to reflect the area covered by the Morgan Foundation and Wolves Aid (part of Wolves in the Community Trust).
Barclays Bank is again the main sponsor of the Awards - the third year we have had their support. This year we are also being sponsored by Liverpool Vision, enabling an extra prize to be awarded in the Best Entrepreneurial Charity or Social Enterprise category.
The 2010 Awards are now open for entries and you can apply any time before the closing date of 10th September.
Over and above the £110,000 of cash prizes, the winners and runners up also receive valuable professional services from the sponsors and supporters of the Awards.
An independent panel of experts will judge all the entries in the 2010 Awards and choose the finalists. Finalists will be invited to present to a panel of judges on either the 4th or 5th of October at Carden Park Hotel near Chester and the winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Night on Thursday 11th November.
